How a Clinical Pharmacist Can Help
Led by Arzu F. Moosvi, PharmD, this service connects UMMA Health patients with a medication expert who works closely with their primary care provider and care team. It does not replace visits with your medical provider. It adds extra support to help you get the most from your care, at no additional cost.
Medication Education & Support
Understanding medications can be confusing, especially when starting something new. We can help with the following:
- Understand why a medication is prescribed
- Learn how and when to take medications correctly
- Review possible side effects
- Answer medication-related questions:
- Identify duplicate medications

PharmD, MS
Arzu F. Moosvi, PharmD, MS, is a clinical pharmacist and global health advocate dedicated to advancing equitable healthcare access for underserved communities. With professional and international healthcare experience across the United States, Pakistan, Türkiye, and the UAE, Arzu is passionate about bridging healthcare gaps through education, innovation, and culturally responsive care.
She is also the founder of MedMadad, a pharmacist-led initiative focused on expanding clinical services to rural communities throughout South Asia and the Middle East. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Pharmacy and her Master of Science in Global Medicine from Keck School of Medicine of University of Southern California.
